No More Disruption, PLEASE!

Think everyone in healthcare embraces the idea of disruption? Think again.

A recent article in the Harvard Business Review addresses this reality head on. Physicians in particular are fatigued from the endless changes disrupting their work lives and ability to deliver patient care.

“One of the hardest things about introducing innovation or change in organizations is getting people on board. This is especially true in health care.”

While we believe in the need for disruption to pull the industry out of its downward spiral, it’s unrealistic to expect physicians to say, “Yes, please disrupt my workflow some more – that will be awesome!” This article by the Harvard Business Review addresses that reality and offers three steps for engaging providers in change.
