Having spent the past decade developing and implementing technology-based solutions to achieve business growth, Joe brings a fresh perspective to healthcare IT. As Chief Information Officer for Canton & Company, he applies his expertise to help clients source and integrate technology solutions to solve their most pressing problems.

With an understanding that technology functions correctly only when combined with the right people and processes, Joe guides organizations through holistic evaluations of potential solutions, bridging the conversations between clinical, technical, and operational leaders. The process establishes clear expectations, stakeholder buy-in, and measurable goals – all critical to success.

Elevating his approach is a background in both the public and private sides of healthcare. Joe has collaborated with physicians, practice managers, hospitals, health systems, vendors, technologists, and health information exchanges, community-based organizations, Medicaid, policy makers, operational leaders and commercial payers. He is a subject matter expert in population health technologies, electronic health records, and patient engagement systems, to name a few.

With deep roots in collaborative care and a pulse on healthcare policy, Joe delivers more than technology insights. He helps clients achieve goals and satisfy requirements – whether for a value-based care contract, DSRIP program, or other relationship – using technology as a tool.

Prior to Canton & Company, Joe was Chief Information Officer for the Central New York Care Collaborative where he designed and implemented an IT infrastructure supporting more than 4,000 providers and community-based service organizations. He also held leadership roles with St. Joseph’s Hospital Health Center, HealtheConnections, and NexSched.

Joe counts his ability to translate complex requirements into results-oriented technology solutions among his greatest strengths. He believes in the integration of social and behavioral risk management to transform the industry. And when he’s not innovating in healthcare, you can find the avid sportsman spending time with family and friends in the Adirondack Mountains.
