Celebrating National Health Center Week

Each year in August, the National Association of Community Health Centers (NACHC) proudly celebrates National Health Center Week, honoring the more than 1,400 Community Health Centers (CHCs) serving patients in need throughout the U.S. This week of awareness allows us to reflect on the unwavering dedication and commitment of community health providers, staff, and advocates who tirelessly provide critical care to over 31.5 million patients each year.

Health Centers Power Communities

The dedicated individuals who work and practice in our nation's Community Health Centers are more than just providers; they are trusted community partners who go above and beyond for their patients each and every day. Health center team members work tirelessly to ensure all community members have access to the resources they need to lead healthy lives.

“Our nation's health centers remain at the forefront of personalized, patient-centered care,” says Don McDaniel, Canton & Company CEO. “CHCs play a pivotal role in expanding access to critical healthcare services by delivering personalized, accessible care to those in need. Their dedication to addressing the social determinants of health (SDOH) and their deep connection with the communities they serve make CHCs invaluable partners in advancing health equity and improving community health outcomes.”

The theme of this year's National Health Center Week, "Powering Communities through Caring Connections," highlights the unique and powerful impact that community health centers have on the communities they serve. Health centers not only enhance the health and wellness of underserved communities but also empower individuals to actively engage in addressing the unique challenges and needs within their communities.
