BALTIMORE, MD – July 10, 2024 – Canton & Company, healthcare’s preeminent strategy, performance, and growth optimization firm, today announced the appointment of Chuck McQueary, MBA, CPA as Chief Financial Officer and Executive Vice President of Board Advisory Services.
McQueary brings more than 35 years’ experience in financial and operational excellence, most recently serving as Chief Operating Officer and Executive Vice President for Advocare, a physician-owned medical group with 700 multi-specialty providers across 200 locations. During his eight-year tenure, McQueary captured $12 million in annual savings and was recognized as COO of the Year by OnCon ICON Awards in 2022.

Throughout his career, McQueary has participated in over $2 billion in transactions, restructurings, and turnarounds. He has served on 12 boards to date, representing four different industries with a concentration in healthcare, including publicly traded, private equity, and family-owned companies. On 10 of the boards, he served on the Audit Committee, and of those, he served as the Chair for nine of them. McQueary is also an active member of the Private Directors Association and the Executive Leaders for Advisory Boards.
In his new role, McQueary will act as Canton’s strategic finance leader while leveraging his extensive experience to drive value-creation and provide strategic advisory services to Canton & Company’s high-performing clients. Relative to its governance services, McQueary will lead Canton & Company’s board advisory work, with a focus on governance alignment and best practices, succession planning and goal setting, and strategic oversight.
